This song really touch my heart. It made me miss my dad so much. My life is not the same with the story told in this song though, I love a responsible and loving dad, and my Big Daddy also never fails to love me. I am wondering how much I love my Big Daddy all this time.
Being in drama ministry is not easy. For me, every performance is an offering for my Big Daddy. I always try my best to serve the Lord humbly but sometimes I can't hide my excitement that may be it can sound like a proud manner. I really love drama and will talk about it again and again and again. However, my Big Daddy sees deeply through my heart and He examines whether I grab all the glory for myself or not.
When I am so happy to be able to write lyrics or narrations,
When I am so excited to act in performances
When I enjoy the rehearsals, the improvisations, the process from a script to a play...
When I am so satisfied with the result....
I have to guard myself from pride,
It is not my hard work, talents nor my skills,
It is Him who enable me, guide me in creating performances,
all the glory is not mine, it is Him.
Oh how I want to serve Him purely!
It is useless and pathetic if I have pride in me as He will not be pleased
and all the offerings are meaningless....
How I want to see Him smile at my ministry!
May all these performances counted eternally as the things that makes my Big Daddy smile!
