Cinangneng, Holiday Story part one.

Cinangneng.... is a simple way to spend holiday for a family. If you want something different, you can try this. Pulang Kampung, is the main theme of this holiday plan.... or to be exact, visit Kampung... is the educational holiday for the kids, a new experience for the family who used to live in a big city.

You won't find luxury nor beautiful scenes at Cinangneng Village, Bogor. It's just a simple village, including a humble lifestyle of villagers. The Hester Basoeki Guest House offers some 'educational kampung' activities, which is interesting for my family (but may be not for other some families).

We arrived around 3 PM, and was directed to our room, Sungai Room and Pangrango Room for my friend's family. The swimming pool is not far from our room, which was great! We also can see Cinangneng river. It was a hot weather... really hot! Thankfully we got aircon in the room... we directly wore our swimsuits and splaaash!!! Run into the pool!! Aaaaah... so nice!

(picture : Cliff eats arumanis before swimming)

The room's rate was Rp. 440.000 for two pax (including children under 5 years), and we got 1x breakfast, 1x snacks, 1x dinner and 1x lunch for two pax. Clay was charged extra bed, Rp. 192.000,- including bed and meals as well. Oh, we got a free visit Kampung tour as well!

After refreshing ourselves in the pool, we were served sweet tea and snacks (sweet potato balls)... yum! Thinking that it would be quite bored staying in a small village, we brought some toys for kids.... hehehehe.. Cliff enjoyed playing with his cars and fire engines troupe while Clay did his Kumon homework.

Our dinner was delivered to the room as it was raining a little outside. We ate dinner together on the porch, the frogs were singing for us... :-D After a while, before we went to sleep, we lit the sparkles... It was the first time for Jacklyn, the kid's new friend, playing with sparkles. Hope she enjoyed it!

---- next post: our Pulang Kampung Tour.... :-))

Seeing your vacation photo makes me counting down to mine too. It's gonna be the first oversea trip for my boys. We're heading to Malaysia (Genting). YAY :):)

You know Trin, I learn something: Wherever you go, it's not the place that makes it fun, it's the people you go with. I'm pretty sure that you would love every trip you make with your family and you as a fun person, I know your family would enjoy going out with you too.

Hi! Thanks for checking out my blog! It's nice to know that a "neighbor" is looking at it. I went to Bandung a couple weeks ago - I think it's a really nice city. Jakarta is way too big for my taste, but it's nice having so many options for things to do. We're really enjoying our life here in Indo. I'll keep up with your blog. Great to hear about new places for weekend visits too!
